Job summary

Part-time Band 7 MSK Outpatient Physiotherapist

- 20 hours per week over 2.5 days with some flexible working to include Saturday morning every 3 weeks /late evening on a Tuesday/ Weds

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a highly skilled physiotherapy assessment, education, advice and treatment service to outpatients referred by G.Ps. Patient conditions will include musculoskeletal conditions (including post operative orthopaedics), arthritis, and patients presenting with acute, chronic and or complex spinal pain.
  • To work in an outpatient setting within the trust, in small clinics at GP surgeries/health centres .
  • To be a source of expertise on the management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • To supervise less experienced physiotherapists and students on clinical placement.

Our well-established and proactive Physiotherapy service consists of small teams of therapists in 3 dedicated Outpatient MSK Physiotherapy clinics based at GP surgeries/ health centres across the diverse and popular borough of Hillingdon.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative physiotherapist with excellent Musculoskeletal skills and experience to join the team on a part-time basis. This post is for 20 hours per week to be worked over 2.5 days The hours will include some flexible working

Applicants should possess an interest in clinical audit /evidence based practice as well as previous NHS Physiotherapy experience; we have an enthusiastic and supportive team with an interest in service development

We have a robust in-service training programme where peer review and reflective practice are actively encouraged. Professional development is maintained through protected time for band 7 self-study and peer support with a senior team that have a diverse range of clinical backgrounds. We have an established appraisal and development system with a positive approach to the implementation of the NHS KSF

  • To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, working without clinical supervision.   • HPC registration
  • Relevant Post-Graduate CPD regarding musculoskeletal conditions
