We have this exciting opportunity for you to work in Ealing employed by Central North West London Healthcare NHS Trust but working under the umbrella of Ealing Community Partners (ECP).
We welcome applicants who are clinically experienced for a band 7 paediatric dietetic role or a band 6 aspiring to be a band 7 who we would support on a development pathway for 1 year, moving from band 6 to band 7 after achieving the required competencies.
The post holder will work closely with the Child Development Team, paediatricians, community paediatric nurses, school staff, allied health professionals and other staff working under Ealing Services for Additional Needs (ESCAN) and other agencies within Ealing Borough.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting tube fed children in their own homes or in special schools and nurseries and running paediatric clinics, face to face, virtual telephone or video consultations, for conditions including faltering growth, allergies and obesity.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of paediatric dietetics including tube feeding and clinical experience of working with children post registration
About us
Ealing have tube feeds and oral nutritional supplements off FP10 and you will therefore be responsible for the provision of tube feeds (without GP prescription) and equipment for Ealing patients.
You will support and train dietetic students and other health care staff and also junior paediatric staff when in the band 7 role.

ECP Nutrition and Dietetic Department have a flexi time protocol allowing staff to carry over additional hours worked to the following month to take back
The Ealing community team include 2 other part time paediatric dietitians, specialist Nutrition Support Dietitians, Diabetes, Obesity andCardiovascular disease Dietitians as well as nutrition practitioners, an assistant and administrative staff.
You will be part of a wider peer supervision group of paediatric dietitians working across CNWL to network and support each other with evidence based practice, innovation and patient centred care.

- Degree in Dietetics
- MSc in Advanced Dietetic Practice including paediatrics or extensive clinical dietetic experience in Paediatrics
Knowledge and experience

- Extensive clinical dietetic paediatric experience including enteral feeding in children
- Advanced knowledge of evidence based practice in paediatrics
- Extensive experience of training/teaching healthcare professionals & Students
- Experience of contributing to service development and quality improvement
- Knowledge and application of counselling skills/motivational interviewing/behavioural change
