You will provide excellent leadership and management to a team of Health Visitors, School nurses, community staff nurses and nursery nurses, and lead the operational delivery of the commissioned Healthy Child Programme in Hillingdon.

Background to the Hillingdon 0-19 service

The CNWL 0-19 Service in Hillingdon is led by Health visitors and school nurses who are specialist community public health nurses (SCPHN). They are supported by a skill mix within the teams, including community staff nurses, nursery nurses and school nursing assistants. We are commissioned by the London borough of Hillingdon and work closely with our early years' colleagues.

Health visitors take the leading role with the 0 to 5year old's elements of the Healthy Child Programme and School nurses the 5 to 19year old's element. Both the health visiting and school nursing service offer year-round support for children and young people in a range of settings including families' own homes, local community or primary care settings and local schools.

The Healthy Child Programme is a universal prevention, health promotion and early intervention initiative available to all families supporting the aim to ensure every child has the "best start in life".

In a recent survey 100% of our 0-19 staff would recommend Hillingdon as a place to work.
