Job summary
Brent CAMHS is looking for 3 band 8a experienced psychologists to join our friendly, supportive, and experienced multidisciplinary specialist mental health service. While being a senior member of the Psychology profession, the post holder will also be Sub-Team Lead for one of the pathways within Brent CAMHS. The pathways requiring Sub-Team leads are Emotional Disorder Team and the Neurodevelopmental Team.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and skilled clinician who is able to maintain clinical curiosity and keen to engage in reflective practice as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families' needs. Clinicians who have previous experience within CAMHS settings (particularly with safeguarding, risk and Neurodevelopmental concerns) would be at an advantage.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior member of the Psychology discipline you will support the team and service by providing supervision to junior members of staff as well as participating in leadership initiatives. You also will help the service provide specialist mental health and neurodevelopmental assessments alongside a variety of psychological interventions (e.g. CBT, ACT, TF-CBT, DBT, parenting work, groups and family / systemic work) for a broad range of complex mental health concerns and neurodevelopmental differences experienced by children, young people and families within a socially, economically and culturally diverse London borough.

- Postgraduate doctoral training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by the BPS
- Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council
Desirable
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice especially relevant to complex CAMHS. In particular: CYP-IAPT Therapy Training BABCP Accreditation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Third wave therapies (ACT, CFT) EMDR, DBT knowledge ADOS-2/ 3Di Experience as a clinical supervisor
