Job summary
We are excited to offer an opportunity for experienced Physiotherapist to fulfil a clinical leadership role for the acute inpatient medical serviceswith responsibility for the planning, delivery and evaluation of the service provided on a day-to-day basis.
If successful, you will be responsible, as a Team leader, for the management, organisation and development of Physiotherapy services within the acute inpatient medical services, working in partnership with other Advanced Physiotherapists and the wider AHP Band 7 team, Clinical Service manager and Therapy Leads.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for the management of a clinical caseload, providing highly specialised assessment, treatment and advice to patients.
The successful candidate will provide highly specialist advice to the speciality team and to staff working in other specialist areas or professions.
You will provide supervision, advice and guidance to Specialist Physiotherapists and Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners, Technical Instructorsand students on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for the clinical practice of physiotherapy assistants and Undergraduate Physiotherapy students who work under your supervision.
You will take a lead role in the planning and delivery of training and education for the physiotherapy team and support the professional and personal development of staff.
Main duties of the job

About us
We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
