Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Community Therapy Department. We are looking for 2 dynamic, enthusiastic people with a flexible approach to join our administration Team as Administration Assistants. The successful candidates will support the clinical teams ensuring that our patients have a first class service from the moment they make contact with the service. The posts will require some flexibility to support service needs.

The therapy team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists,assistant Practitioners and therapy assistants.

We have bases at Kendal and Barrow but work as an integrated service across the footprint base can be agreed on appointment.

The service hours are Monday - Friday 08:00-18:30 and Saturday-Sunday 09:00-17:00, admin hours Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30

Main duties of the job

To work within a large multidisciplinary team to provide full administrative and clerical service and support to medical staff/health professionals based at or visiting the sites.

You will be based primarily at one base but may need to provide cover on occasion.

About us

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
