An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Workforce Team for the role of Medical Workforce Administrator (Band 3) on a permanent basis.
You should have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and think calmly and logically under pressure. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to increase their knowledge of medical staffing across the organisation and gain a greater understanding of medical e Rota/ e Exception Reporting and e Rostering, processes and systems.
The Job Description is awaiting the result of formal evaluation but it is expected to be Band 3; this should be confirmed prior to interview.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Workforce Administrator is a fundamental part of the Medical Workforce Team, providing both colleagues and managers with an excellent service through front-line operational support. The Medical Workforce Administrator is the first point of contact for a wide range of day-to-day medical workforce queries
The post holder will monitor and maintain system workflows for e-Rota design and provide system support as and when required for e-Exception Reporting within the Trust. The current system falling under the remit of the Medical Workforce Administrator is the Skills for Health - DRS4 e Rota system for Resident Doctors in Training and Locally Employed Doctors.
The post holder will deliver rota templates for Resident Doctors and Locally Employed Doctors that maximise the available resource and are compliant with Working Time Regulations (WTR), contractual requirements and local Trust rules.

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
