A rare opportunity has arisen for a driven and ambitious pharmacist to join our surgical services pharmacy team. This is a progressive role, starting at band 7 with a clear development pathway to band 8a. The successful candidate will be supported through a struct-ed competency framework aligned to the four pillars of pharmacy practice

You will initially demonstrate leadership in managing and supporting the team on a day-to-day basis, with progression to responsibilities in clinical audit, medicines optimisation strategies, education and training, and service improvement initiatives. Our team includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and medicines management support staff, working collaboratively to provide safe and effective care.
Main duties of the job
You will lead the clinical pharmacy team to deliver safe, effective and optimum clinical pharmacy services to surgical patients at South Tees Hospitals in addition to providing expert advice, guidance and information on treatment choices, medicines use, clinical pharmacy and financial issues to senior staff and managers within the services.
The post holder will also continuously complete service evaluation and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously make improvements to the pharmacy service.
The post holder will actively consult patients in a variety of clinical settings and make clinical interventions to improve patient care and patient safety.
