Job summary

We are excited to offer an opportunity for internal secondment to support the design and delivery of the B-PuRe research project - in conjunction with Teesside University. This secondment will allow you to develop your research and leadership skills in a supported way while contributing to the delivery of an NIHR-funded study.

The secondment will be hosted by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and supported by the research team at Teesside University, led by Professor Samantha Harrison. The research project will have close links with the Pulmonary rehabilitation Team and clinical support from clinical lead Andy Fisher.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to have experience in the physiotherapy management of respiratory and/or falls patients, alongside general rehabilitation. Relevant post graduate study, leadership training and experience is also desirable.

This post will offer development in clinical skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post graduate courses. We have an established and comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research and the Hospital has close links with both the University of Teesside and Durham University.
