We are a dynamic and diverse Trust, with a friendly and supportive atmosphere and our team delivers of over 5500 births a year between our two hospitals; The James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage Midwifery-led unit.
Main duties of the job
As a Newly Registered Midwife, we offer an innovative, robust, comprehensive 12-month preceptorship programme, designed to support your transition and to successfully achieve the required competencies to progress to a confident band 6.
We provide an in-depth induction programme and continuous support throughout with clinical and practical skills, training, and pastoral care with full support from our dedicated Preceptorship Lead Midwife.
You will have the opportunity to rotate to all maternity areas in our Trust, including community, to maximise your professional development and gain relevant experience.
If you are an experienced band 6 midwife, we offer a bespoke training induction to smooth your transition into our team and we welcome your fresh energy, experience and passion to drive our service forward. You will have the opportunity to utilise your well-honed skills to provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and their families in our area.
