Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Fellow

Job summary

The post holder will join a dedicated 6-member Gyn oncology fellow team to provide middle-grade clinical cover for inpatient care for patients in the ward or High Dependency Unit / Intensive Therapy Unit and also take part in outpatient clinics (joint oncology, colposcopy and pre-operative), Gynaecology MDT Clinics, Vulval, Colposcopy clinics, Gynaecological oncology theatres. They are also required to take part in the Gyn Oncology middle grade on-call rota (not during normal working hours, non-resident cover, 1 in 6) with an occasional requirement (based on career stage) to cover the general gynaecology on-call rota. The department has hosted Research fellows, including OOPR and OPPE, pursuing Master's in Gyn Oncology (MCh Gyn Oncology) and MD (self-funded registration).The job plan is only a guide to the weekly activities of the post, which may alter depending on on-call commitments and the requirements of the department to cover emergency work.   • oDemonstrable evidence of laparoscopy skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • oFull GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • oPrimary medical qualification recognised by the GMC
