An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cardiothoracic Audit Department due to a recent post becoming vacant.
We are now looking to recruit a part time Band 5 Audit Nurse/AHP to work as part of our team.
The purpose of the role is to support the Cardiothoracic Audit Lead nurses and team to develop, implement and monitor an agreed programme of clinical audit and quality improvement with a focus on National Cardiac Audit requirements.
This role will be based at the James Cook University Hospital and will fulfil all tasks and work as part of a team to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for individual who is committed to make a difference to patient care.
The successful candidate will have a professional qualification in health care e.g. RN or AHP and currently registered with a professional body.
Collect and validate data for any of the national clinical audits and exported registries that apply to the Cardiothoracic and Cardiology Services (Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia)
Work collaboratively with all members of MDT to ensure that data is exported to the essential NICOR databases to achieve national data quality and completeness standards within the submission deadlines set by NICOR and NHS England
Support the Audit Lead Nurse in the delivery of the national audit agenda within the Cardiothoracic Services Directorate
Support the Cardiothoracic audit team to ensure excellence in audit support for the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Care Services
