Clinical Support Worker/Clinical Support Worker - Higher Level

Job summary

The post holder will work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday over a 37.5 hour working week and be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), undertaking routine tasks such as the general organisation of the clinic, chaperoning where required, providing personal care and ensuring the patients nutrition and hydration needs are met. The post holder would also be expected to be able to establish basic patient information, for example; age, weight, height.

Please note if you do not have the qualifications or experience marked as essential for a Band 3 role, you will be appointed at a Band 2.

Band 2 requirements - willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.

Band 3 requirements - Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9)

Level 3 vocational qualification

or

Short courses and completion of

competency workbook equivalent

to Level 3 in a range of patient and

and/or

There is a clear framework to allow for post holders to develop from a band 2 to band 3 and this includes completion of the qualifications.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also carry out delegated clinical care duties including any department based clinical procedures and clinical observations (as competent), support pre-assessments, coordination of the day to day running of the department and clinics once competent and as directed by registered professionals with clear defined parameters, to provide healthcare and support that is individualised to the patient needs.

We work as small inclusive team of Clinical Support Workers, Assistant Practitioner, Registered Nurse and a Clinical manger.
