This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional or Nurse to join the Corporate team and work alongside the Group Chief AHP and the Patient Safety team to lead developments in the management and prevention of inpatient falls at South Tees NHS Foundation Trust.
South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the country, close to the North Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of Newcastle and Leeds.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated professional to provide training and education support within the Group Chief AHP team working across the whole organisation in order to support the development of a coherent inpatient falls strategy. You will also work alongside colleagues in the organisation and ward areas to implement sustainable change in the organisation. You will be expected to manage the demands of the role flexibly.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an Allied health professional or Nurse and is expected to have some leadership experience, knowledge of falls and have experience of working with multidisciplinary teams, training others and able to work well with colleagues, exhibiting the values and behaviours of the South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

- Degree level Registration in any of the Allied Health Professional or Nursing groups
- HCPC/NMC Registration
- Evidence of post graduate training
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Registered Nurse or AHP educated to degree level with significant clinical expertise working with adult in patients and those at risk from falls
- Ability to communicate well with peers and all members of the multidisciplinary team
- A sound knowledge of nursing risk assessment tools e.g. 4AT, falls, bedrails, tissue viability and nutrition risk assessments. Ability to advise and support nursing staff in care planning with where risks are identified.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- General knowledge in a wider sphere of conditions associated with increased risk of falls, or harm from falls.
- A sound knowledge of risk assessment tools e.g. 4AT, falls, bedrails, tissue viability and nutrition risk assessments.

- Evidence of teaching, educating, coaching and mentoring skills.
