An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) Office for the appointment of a Medical Staffing Officer.
As a memberof the Medical Recruitment Team, this post will provide a comprehensive and high-quality service to all Medical and Dental staff.
The post holder will undertake office-based duties at the James Cook University Hospital, however, will have equal access to the Flexible Working / Agile Working Trust policies - there is the potential to agree a hybrid working model following successful completion of training in line with the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will co-ordinate and participate in the recruitment and selection process for Medical staff appointments for both Resident Doctorpositions (Trust Locally Employed Doctors - LEDs), SAS Doctor positions and Consultant positions - providing cross-cover for fellow teammembers as per the current make-up of the Medical Recruitment team.
In conjunction with the Corporate Medical Rostering Team, the post holder will ensure that gaps in rotas are covered through timely appointmentand pre-employment checks processes being completed for new recruits - also sourcing locum cover if appropriate in line with Trust policy -liaising with the Trust's Master Vendor for Agency Locum recruitment.
The post holder will be expected to perform other duties and be involved with other areas of work across the team as and when required -supporting the team in day-to-day activities that span across all services within the CMO Office's portfolio
