To lead and supervise the day to day delivery of a diagnostic service within the Microbiology Department and provide advanced Biomedical science technical support by providing training, advice, technical development, and supervision within all areas of the laboratory. While maintaining an up to date knowledge and competency to practise within all areas of the laboratory working.

Main duties of the job

You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to CPD, have excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.

Good working knowledge of Pathology IT systems
Experienced in teaching staff by means of presentations or 1 to 1

Qualifications

IBMS accredited degree or demonstrated equivalent
IBMS specialist portfolio or demonstrated equivalent in appropriate discipline
IBMS HSD, MSc (candidates who are within 9 months of completion will be considered
HCPC registration
Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
