Job summary

Up to 37.5 Hours per week (Permanent)

We are looking to recruit within the outpatients services which are provided in Main Outpatients, Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre and Scott Suite.

We provide outpatient care for numerous specialties including ENT, surgery, oncology, dermatology amongst others.

Post holders will be appointed at band 2 or band 3 depending upon qualifications.Band 2 requirements - willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.Band 3 requirements - Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9)Care certificateLevel 3 vocational qualificationorShort courses and completion ofcompetency workbook equivalentto Level 3 in a range of patient andclinical care dutiesand/orEquivalent knowledge andexperience in a range of clinicalcare duties equivalent to Level 3;- Theoretical knowledge- Experience of a range ofcare and related procedures- clinical observations- knowledge of relevantlegislation

There is a clear framework to allow for postholders to develop from a band 2 to band 3 and this includes completion of the qualifications.

Main duties of the job

Opportunities exist to develop your knowledge and skills which will enable the post holder to work across several specialties delivering high standards of care to patients

The post holder must have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and be able to work effectively as part of a team

Previous experience of working within an outpatient department would be an advantage.
