Job summary

To have day to day responsibility for the implementation and delivery of systems to effectively maintain elective waiting lists, ensuring access to services is equitable for all patients and within national and local policies and guidance. This will involve working closely with the clinical service, the information department and the performance management department with a view to being proactive on the management of the elective waiting list position, with the aim of reducing waiting times for treatment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have excellent planning, communication and organisational skills. They will work closely with the secretarial team and build relationships with the secretarial, appointment and administrative teams to provide an efficient and reliable service for patients, ensuring that all elements of out-patient services unite. An understanding of out-patient and inpatient waiting lists although training will be provided for the right candidate.
