Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to play an important role as a member of a professional team committed to providing a range of high quality technical work for the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontic
You must possess good manual dexterity and be able to follow precise instructions with a high level of concentration. You must have good GCSE grades with at least 4 grades A-C/4-7
You will be expected to assist in all aspects of dental technology with emphasis on the preparation of both digital and stone dental casts. You must have good communication skills with a good telephone manner and the ability to manage your own workload. The role incorporates digital work flows with excel spreadsheets through to CAD packages which incorporates data input and analysis. Full in house training will be provided and you may also be asked to undertake advanced level qualifications.
Main duties of the job
To assist Dental Care Professionals in the construction of Dental and Oral Maxillofacial AppliancesTo construct both Digital and plaster cast anatomical modelsYou will also be required to perform some technical process work such as trimming, polishing, repairing and processing appliances. You will also assist in the construction of some dental appliances with the supervision of qualified staff.Your role will include some administrational duties and some maintenance work including logging of work onto digital records, processing paperwork and prescription sheets, maintenance of the laboratory and its equipment and cleaning of the laboratory work stations.
