This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the pharmacist placement programme with Sunderland University. This role will encompass creating, planning, coordinating, and delivering high quality placements for undergraduate student pharmacists at Sunderland University, hosted at South Tees Hospitals. The post holder will work closely with external colleagues at Sunderland University to ensure we create and provide meaningful experiential learning environments for students, aligned with both the GPHC and University requirements to complete entrustable learning activities ,and meet the learning outcomes stipulated in the initial education and training standards for pharmacists.
Main duties of the job
- Facilitate student placements, including timetabling, mentoring, teaching and leadership
- Receive feedback and evaluation of placements and make improvements accordingly
- Devise resources/policies/protocols that support high quality entrustable learning activities and learning opportunities for students whilst on placement.
- Support with education and training of the wider pharmacy department regarding the changes to undergraduate training
