South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Occupational Therapy Department is seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent clinical skills. The post holder will be working within the field of elective orthopaedics and will be key in supporting the Senior Specialist in providing the Occupational Therapy Service for this specialty.
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at The FriarageHospital within Orthopaedics. You will work within a multidisciplinary team offering specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for patients with a range of orthopaedicconditions. You will require post-graduate clinical experience ideally in a range of core areas. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and on your own, frequently using your own initiative. Excellent communication and organisational skills, enthusiasm, commitment and ability to negotiate across a wide range of agencies are also vital for this post.
You will be supported by the Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 7) and a Therapy Lead.
We facilitatetraining sessions and staff are encouraged and supported in their continuous professional development through workshops and clinical supervision.
