Job summary
Receptionist/Clerical Officer 22.5 Hours
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic community receptionist/clerical officer to deliver an efficient, effective and comprehensive reception and administration service across 5 community sites; predominantly the post holder will be based at East Cleveland PCH, however, will also be expected to cover other community sites, i.e. Low Grange, Guisborough, Redcar and Cleveland Health Centre on occasions.
The candidate should have a sound general education, excellent communication skills, knowledge of SystmOne or other clinical systems, a good telephone manner and a mature and professional approach.
They will support the reception, clinical services and departments throughout the buildings, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times. Answering front of house reception telephone, signposting and acting upon requests.
Flexible in their approach to work, possess good organisational and time management skills and have the ability to use their own initiative, whilst adhering to Trust policies and procedures including health and safety standards and practices.
Previous experience working in the NHS in a similar position is desirable as is experience in dealing with the public and handling confidential medical information.
The post holder will be a key member of the team and will facilitate the delivery of the teams objectives.

Main duties of the job
-To deliver an efficient and comprehensive reception and administration service to all the users of South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Community Services ensuring high standards are maintained at all times. With a commitment to abide by the NHS values and the Constitution.
-Experience in routine reception and administrative procedures, i.e. answering the telephone, typing, signposting, general enquiries, photocopying, laminating etc
-Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Excel, E-mail, Outlook, Presentations etc
-Knowledge and experience of clinical systems preferably SystmOne or other clinical systems, i.e. arriving patients or searching for appointments
-Room bookings through Open Space, completing daily/weekly reports , i.e. DNA's, room changes. Resolving queries for service users on a day to day basis
-Safe handling medical records, incoming and outgoing
-Issuing hearing aid batteries
-Sorting incoming and outgoing mail
-General Knowledge of NHS, preferably with practical experience
-Reporting faults to Estates or ICT and following up actions-Knowledge of the General Data Protection Act and Confidentiality in the workplace
-Understanding of a range of work procedures, some of which are non-routine and which may require formal training.
-A knowledge of Trust policies and Procedures is desirable but not essential
