Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Private Patients and Overseas Services at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As the Head of Private Patients and Overseas Services, you will lead on the development and delivery of strategies, plans, policies and processes to expand and develop the Trust's private patients and overseas services. This will involve working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, both clinical and non-clinical, across and external to the Trust.

As part of the Corporate Services team in an organisation striving for excellence, you will work to ensure the private patients and overseas services are clinically led, patient focused, and strategically aligned to the aims and values of the organisation.

You will be experienced in the delivery of multi-stranded projects, and be comfortable working in an environment with multiple stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting priorities, to bring a collaborative approach that will enable you to deliver excellence in the private patient and overseas services across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To explore and build commercial opportunities across the private patients and overseas services that will generate additional financial and non-financial value to the Trust.

Lead on the development and implementation of strategic plans to grow the private patients and overseas visitors services. This will involve working with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, both internal and external to the Trust, in situations where persuasion, motivation and reassurance will be necessary.

Lead on the development of a marketing and communication strategy for private patient services across the trust.

Ensure we are offering excellence in service and a positive patient experience across the private & overseas patients services.

Ensuring regulatory requirements of the service are met; including ensuring service is compliant with local, national and trust requirements.

Responsible for the delivery of challenging targets within set timescales related to the expansion and development of the private & overseas patients services.
