Job summary
Ward 29 is a busy, acute Cardiology ward within the Cardiothoracic Collaborative in The James Cook University Hospital and is a rewarding place to work; we are seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in Cardiology nursing to join our team.
We are looking to recruit into a band 5 Registered Nurse post and there is an expectation to work on a roster that includes night duty and weekend working.
You will need a mix of skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships and effective time management.

The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size. The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit. There is also an Institute of Learning, Research and Innovation on site, embracing postgraduate medical education, undergraduate teaching centre, nurse training school, the school of radiography and library facilities.
The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community. It is one of the smallest district general hospitals in the country and has 189 inpatient beds.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
