We have an exciting opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic administration support assistants to join our Colposcopy Administration Team.
The colposcopy administrative support assistants working flexibly, will provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the whole colposcopy service.
Supporting the colposcopy coordinator and the nursing team, the administration support assistants will assist in helping to ensure that our patients have a smooth pathway through the service and that all aspects of the administration associated with that episode of care is dealt with accurately, speedily and confidentially.
The post holders will understand the importance of information governance and will demonstrate excellent communication skills and customer care.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will receive training and duties will include:
- Competent in the use of the booking systems / appointments using E-AMIS and the Infoflex database.
- Understanding of the direct referral process into Colposcopy
- To organise and manage outstanding results effectively.
- Retrieving letters from the infoflex system database and forwarding to relevant people i.e. GP's, Patients.
- Ability to liaise effectively with other MDT members involved within the Colposcopy Services i.e. cytology / histology labs, Cervical Screening Services, SQAS.
- Manage the Colposcopy Diary and organise meetings where appropriate.
- Direct telephone contact with patients as requested.
- Handling of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Awareness of and adherence to NHSCSP documentation and protocols (particularly publication 20).

The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community. It is one of the smallest district general hospitals in the country and has 189 inpatient beds.
