37.5 Hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our established team. Working a variety of shift patterns to care for patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Main duties of the job

Education & Qualifications

Desirable

  • Level 1 in Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 2 in Care (Level 2 Diploma in HealthCare) or able to demonstrate appropriate transferable experience
  • Completion of the Core Competency pack

Knowledge & Eperience

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate person centred care
  • Able to describe behaviours and skills of a carer
  • Previous experience of working with the public

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a caring role

Key Skillls

Essential

  • Ability to present written information clearly
  • Understand the need for confidentiality at all times

Desirable

  • Venepuncture skills with a willingness to undertake cannulation competency.
