As a key leader the Professional Lead will provide leadership, facilitation and direction to Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) staff across the Trust and through professional leadership they are responsible for providing high quality patient focused therapy services.
Strengthening clinical leadership within the Trust, ensuring active clinical engagement and professional leadership of all AHPs.
Undertake a designated range of service improvements, and innovative quality improvement solutions that will positively impact on the productivity and standards of care provided.
Focusing on the continued modernisation of clinical services through the provision of professional support, leadership, and supervision of AHPs and ensure the recommendations of the National AHP Strategy; AHPs deliver are fully implemented.
This role will work with Service Operational Management teams and support the development of the longer-term strategic direction for all Allied Health Professionals in their portfolio across all collaboratives in partnership with the nursing directorate.
The Professional Lead has responsibility for development and clinical supervision for AHPs providing expert advice and guidance.
Main duties of the job
The Professional Lead will support services on a day-to-day basis by ensuring operational resilience and efficiency.
The Professional Lead will maintain a close working relationship with and report regularly to the Chief Operating Officer for key performance and operational matters.
The Professional Lead will support and lead on agreed key workstreams aligned to the delivery of person-centred care across the organisation, linking with internal and external stakeholders.
As a strong communicator and change agent the Professional Lead will be very present on the frontline and will demonstrate strong personal leadership and direction whilst at the same time building effective leadership and management teams at all levels within the Directorates and Collaboratives to ensure organisational sustainability.
The post holder is expected to work with autonomy and establish ways of working within Trust and general health Policies.
You will be responsible the direction for the clinical portfolios within your remit. Ensuring goals and standards are set for each portfolio.
