An opportunity has arisen for a training position within the ultrasound department in the Division of Women and Children.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well motivated trainee to work within the directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and with a view to completing the PgC/PgDip in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Main duties of the job
The post is to work towards achieving competency in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound examinations including nuchal translucency and 4D scanning. Training would involve both abdominal and transvaginal scans in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The academic theory will be provided by the University of Teesside and the course will start in September. Clinical training is for 3 days per week.
The department is a busy forward-thinking unit which works closely with medical, midwifery and nursing staff.
The department uses Soliton and Viewpoint reporting systems.
The unit is part of a tertiary centre for Gynaecology cancer services and Fertility. There are five consultants who provide a Fetal Medicine service and two of which also perform fetal echocardiography.
You will be expected to be included in extended working days and weekends as part of your working hours.
You will also be expected to work in hospitals across the trust such as Friarage Hospital Northallerton and Redcar Primary Care
