Job summary

We are looking for people with a passion for infant feeding to join our infant feeding team. The successful candidates will already have experience of supporting women with feeding issues within our service. The role will operate 7 days a week and will require commitment to share weekend working with the other post holder(s).

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work closely with the infant feeding team to:

  • Provide infant feeding support in the early postnatal period within the clinical areas
  • Deliver antenatal education within inpatient areas
  • Support the infant feeding team with the ongoing commitments to achieving the Baby Friendly Standards
  • Support with some admin responsibilities, including but not limited to tracking breast pump loans, BFI audits, antenatal education bookings, monitoring infant feeding team inbox etc.

You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
