This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our front of house therapy team. The post holder will be employed as a discharge facilitator working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists across the emergency department and acute medical/front of house wards at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

It comprises two acute hospitals, James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital Northallerton and a number of community hospitals. James Cook University Hospital is a major trauma centre and provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracic, vascular surgery and cancer services. Therapy services at South Tees NHS trust are also part of the wider Integrated OT service. This is a unique partnership between Health and Social care in South Tees with a commitment to working together, improving the quality of our services and getting rid of existing barriers between health and social services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to have experience in working as an AHP assistant.
You will be required to undertake highly skilled work to support the Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to deliver an efficient and effective service to the emergency department and front of house wards.
The front of house therapy team are well established large, progressive and dynamic services, which continue to develop within the Trust. The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from senior clinicians and the AHP Service Leads.
We have an established and comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research and the Hospital has close links with both the University of Teesside and Durham University
