An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment with the Adult Critical Care department for a Critical Care Information Specialist / Medicus Systems Manager / Directorate Clinical Audit Coordinator.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure and promote high quality and complex data collection, analysis, reporting and exporting of key data from the directorate, and delivering the information to clinical governance, directorate, and performance meetings. The post holder is responsible for introducing, adapting and improving data systems used within critical care, and supporting the use of systems within the directorate ensuring effective and efficient data and information delivery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is solely responsible for ensuring that data provided from critical care systems is robust, validated and security protected in line with current data security policies and the Data Protection Act (1998). To assist in the future plans for the service and to improve performance by measuring trends in service delivery and performance.
The post holder is responsible for the service's contribution to the collection and development of national databases, such as ICNARC, and ensures the resulting information is fully disseminated and utilised within Critical Care and trust-wide.
