Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Chief Medical Officer's Office for the appointment of a Medical Rota Co-ordinator. As a member of the Medical Rostering Team, this post will provide a comprehensive and high quality service to all Medical and Dental staff.

The post holder will undertake office based duties at the James Cook University Hospital, however will have equal access to the Flexible Working/Agile Working trust policies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage and co-ordinate Junior Doctors' rotas, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the Working Time Directive (WTD).

The post holder will provide support to the Guardian of Safe Working in the recording and processing of exception reports and in the production of quarterly reports.

In conjunction with the Clinical Collaboratives, the post holder will ensure that rota gaps are covered by internal or external locums where required.

The post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and courteously with a range of internal / external stakeholders on a daily basis including Medical and Dental staff and other Healthcare Professionals.
