Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Neuro and spinal scrub practitioner (Registered Nurse or ODP) with a passion for the neurosurgery spinal surgery, pain and Interventional Neuro Radiology wanting to progress within our portfolio, we are looking for a confident and competent scrub practitioner with ambition and drive wanting to progress into a clinical leadership role.

As a Theatre sister/Senior ODP you will be expected to set a good example and lead the team with enthusiasm and knowledge.

The portfolio provides an operating service to the following clinical areas;Cranial SurgeryEndoscopic Cranial surgeryNeuro Spinal SurgeryOrtho Spinal SurgeryComplex spinal trauma surgeryComplex spinal deformity surgeryInterventional NeuroradiologyChronic pain procedures

Main duties of the job

- Leading the team

- Pre-empting and organising upcoming lists

- Taking a lead on training and improving staff competence and retention- Support new staff members and students working within our portfolio

- Work together with the Neuro sisters to improve theatre efficiency, safety, patient experience, staff training, competence and promote a positive staff moral and culture of care.
