An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic NMC Registered Nurse to join the established Sir Robert Ogden Day Unit based at The Friarage Hospital Northallerton within the James Cook Cancer Institute and Speciality Medicine Collaborative
Main duties of the job
Our focus is to continually improve patients' experiences and outcomes and you will be supported by a friendly, committed multi-disciplinary team of staff striving to ensure the delivery of excellence in all aspects of patient care. We are a forward-thinking department and support all staff in their clinical development.
The post holder will be expected to lead a nursing team and be an active member of the multidisciplinary team. They will be expected to use professional judgement and assume responsibility and accountability for assessing, implementing and evaluating clinical care for patients to meet their needs in a safe caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect.
The post holder will be responsible for; safe eroster implementation, KPI, standard setting and staff develop. They will work closely with the Unit Manager, Clinical Matron and Clinical Director supporting development of the service. The post holder will be working closely with all aspects of Haematology and Oncology Services.
Demonstrates the trust Values and Behaviours for nursing and midwifery staff at all times.
The post holder has a duty of care to patients and are expected to comply fully with best practice standards and comply with trust policies for personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare associated infections.

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7
