Job summary
To act as the Trusts security expert, ensure that security issues relating to the LSMS are dealt with in a professional and timely manner, making appropriate advice, judgements and referrals in line with national and local legislation and policy.
Making judgements involving complex facts or situations which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a complex range of options. To attend MAPPA & MATAC meetings as the Trust representative
Investigate security incidents/breaches in a fair, objective and professional manner so that the appropriate sanctions and consideration of preventative actions can take place.
Support senior managers and provide specific or general security training to all Trust staff to create a pro-security culture so that staff and patients accept responsibility for effective security management.
Provide advice to departments on physical security measures that maybe employed to improve the security of that area.
To ensure the Trust is compliant with the violence prevention and reduction standards and has a robust violence prevention and reduction strategy in line with the NHS standard contract.
To manage the lone worker device process, and line management of staff involved.
