An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time physiotherapist to join the Specialist Weight Management Service (SWMS), and increase their skills and experience in this specialty. The SWMS is a Consultant Physician led Tier 3 MDT service consisting of Consultant Endocrinologists, a GP with Specialist Interest, Psychology Professionals, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Support Workers, and administrators. The successful applicant will be responsible for running the SWMS physiotherapy service at specific community venues, and may also be required to provide cover at other venues. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in the NHS as a physiotherapist, and possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills.

Previous experience of working with patients with obesity and/or in weight management will be advantageous.

  • To deliver exercise group sessions for those with a BMI over 30kg/m2 with or without mobility restrictions.
