Job summary
The Occupational Therapy service at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is seeking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our amazing, friendly, and supportive team.
The Occupational Therapy service promotes the independence and well-being of adults and children across Redcar and Cleveland, through a range of interventions. These interventions include specialist moving and handling assessments and proportionate handed care techniques, major adaptations and extensions, specialist seating assessments, re-housing support, equipment provision, support into care homes and working with people on a discharge to assess pathways.
The successful applicant will receive excellent management and peer support, and have access to all appropriate training.
Main duties of the job
We have flexible working arrangements to ensure our staff have a good work-life balance and follow a hybrid working model, working from the office and from home. The post is part of the Integrated Occupational Therapy Service, championing integrated working practices across health and social care.

You will need the ability to produce high-quality assessments and documentation, have a working knowledge of relevant legislation relating to OccupationalTherapy in social care andstrong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
About us
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

- Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
- Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
