Job summary

This role is offered on a 18 month fixed term/secondment basis. The hours are part-time, 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Working within our outpatient department offers a varied and engaging role. Our team is actively involved in many aspects of patient care and service delivery, including:

  • Phlebotomy and blood sample collection
  • Pathology requesting and clinical documentation
  • Ordering and managing clinical stores
  • Supporting clinics across a diverse patient population, including paediatric, adult and geriatric patients
  • Participation in clinical governance and quality improvement initiative

Staff will help to promote the health and well-being of the Service users, sign posting services users to additional services, providers for health and social care.
