The NHS Talking Therapies Gloucestershire is a County wide NHS Talking Therapies Service, made up of 4 clinical teams situated across Gloucestershire. We pride ourselves on our clinical model that focuses on delivering high quality care to our clients.

We are excited to be opening up a Counselling pathway for our clients and add to our talented workforce of CBT therapists.

The Service provides evidenced based psychological interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other approved therapies, both face to face and remotely whilst working in line with our local and national targets as laid out in the NHS Talking Therapies Manual.

Main duties of the job

The role will include delivering both face to face and remote appointments across one of our four bases. Whilst you should be aware that we do consider flexible working patterns, this is dependent on service demands. We would, however, expect candidates to be working from their assigned base for an initial start period and long-term working from base dependent upon the demands of our face-to-face clients.

A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology/ a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or a psychological therapy / counselling.

That meets full accreditation standard with the appropriate body (BABCP / UKCP / BACP / HSC) and will apply for accreditation on commencement of the post if not already accredited.

To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
