Job summary
The post holder leads and facilitates the Apprenticeship and Widening Participation team to provide a range of vocational (apprenticeship) qualifications, career and development interventions in support of a range of workforce and the Trust's Apprenticeship and Widening Participation agendas, including overseeing the Trust's work experience and T-Level placement offer.
Reporting to the Strategic Lead -Learning and Development the post holder will provide expertise to facilitate the development, delivery and monitoring of Gloucestershire Health and Care apprenticeship programme, including the management of the Apprenticeship Levy, procurement, quality processes and collaborative activity with healthcare partners across One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System.
This role is offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months (with the potential for extension up to 31/03/2028). The hours are part-time - 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead, plan and design learning interventions and activities in response to identified needs and priorities, including providing professional advice and support regarding apprenticeships and a diverse range of widening participation activities, including schools, colleges, work experience, and T-Level placements.
Lead Apprenticeship and Widening Participation team in the planning and implementation of all aspects of learning activity required by the apprenticeship and widening participation agenda including scoping and negotiating relevant apprenticeship programmes andrecruitment. Initiating, overseeing and supporting the Trust's work experience, volunteering and career pathway initiatives to remove barriers to employment and promote GHC as an anchor institution and employer of choice which reflects the demographic of the potential workforce in our local community.
Working collaboratively with Gloucestershire ICS system partners to develop and drive apprenticeship and widening participation work streams and across the organisation on the delivery of apprenticeships and activities to support widening participation and work experience, including liaison with relevant education and training providers: the DAS, local schools & colleges, other NHS Trusts and NHSE.
