An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated and motivated Professional to lead the Physiotherapy service as part of the Integrated Community Team (ICT) within the Forest of Dean, Tewkesbury, Newent and Staunton locality.

Consideration will be given to the main base being in Tewkesbury or Cinderford and for the contract to be 37.5 hours or 30 hours per week.

This exciting role demands excellent team working, leadership and communication skills and an innovative and committed approach to providing high quality, proactive patient care, within an integrated health and social service environment.

We are seeking an experienced Professional with a passion for rehabilitation to Lead a team of Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy assistants to deliver an outstanding Physiotherapy service in the community. The service works with patients and multidisciplinary teams (including primary care) developing and delivering personalised treatment plans that support people to maintain their health and well- being, to enable independence and prevent or delay crises at home.

This includes promoting advanced care planning to enable appropriate responses should a crisis emerge.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the ICT Senior Leadership team delivering the day to day business of the ICT and supporting its ongoing development as a key part of a successful health and care system.

While the post holders will have their own clear lines of responsibility they will work as a single cohesive management team. They will recognise and draw from colleague's wider skill set within each team in delivering, together the localities day to day operational delivery and agreed developments.

The Post holder as part of the team will be required to

  • Deliver the operational management, clinical and professional leadership and development for the Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants under their responsibility as part of the locally agreed delivery structure.
  • Ensure service delivery is of high quality and operating within a clear governance structure ensuring patient safety and continuous learning
  • Ensure service delivery is efficient and effective including the oversight of caseload management and ensuring timely access to our services
  • Support the delivery of direct patient contacts by guiding the assessment of highly complex patients and providing professional leadership in complex case management.
