The Property Manager is an exciting opportunity to join our established Buildings and Environment Improvement Team. This role is responsible for the management of all Property Services within the Trust and you'll report into our Buildings and Environment Improvement Manager.

You will give confident and clear leadership whilst you motivate, encourage and challenge your team to take ownership of their work and go the extra mile. A "can do" attitude is required, as well as a commitment to maintaining statutory and regulatory compliance across all of our teams and trades. Excellent planning and organisational skills are a necessity to prioritise your workload, and that of the teams.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Property Manager to join our team. The post holder will be responsible for managing all Trust land and property requirements, including lease agreements, acquisitions and disposals, compliance with land and property law and the space utilisation function.

You will be the Trust specialist in property valuations, rateable values and service charges. You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of property professionals.

This is an exciting time to join the team and lead on a number of interesting disposal projects.

The Estates and Facilities team offers a collaborative and supportive environment and would be happy to develop an experienced, enthusiastic individual who is keen to complete the structured training pathway to achieve chartered surveyor status via the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

  • BSc/BA (hons) in a relevant property related subject, plus specialist knowledge to post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience.

  • NEBOSH/ IOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Experience of securing leases, licences, property purchases and disposals.

Desirable

  • Experience within the public sector and specifically health & social care and relevant codes of practice and guidance.
