Job summary

Are you a confident Band6/7 analyst looking for a new challenge? The Business Intelligence Service is looking for an Analyst Team Manger to join its experienced and talented management team. This is a newly created post

You will support the BI delivery manger, work closely with our other Analyst Team Managers and be responsible for leading a team of analysts, supporting services and contributing to the delivery of the team objective: To provide analytical intelligence to our clinical and corporate teams as well as the timely visual presentation of information and ensuring the completion of reports in an accurate and concise format.

You will need excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in both verbal and written formats. Excellent MS Excel and SQL skills would be an advantage, as would experience of Tableau.

The post holder will have experience of working in an NHS Business Intelligence or Information team and possess an excellent understanding of the way information is used to support operational performance.

Main duties of the job

To support the BI Delivery Manager and their portfolio to manage the Information and Performance functions within the Business Intelligence Service. Deputising where appropriate.

To line manage an Analytical team ensuring that the Team's day to day priorities are delivered efficiently and effectively in a timely manner.

The post will lead the delivery of the team objectives by ensuring statutory and mandatory requirements are delivered, producing innovative presentation of information, efficient completion of reports in an accurate and concise format and monitoring of performance against local and national targets for services being delivered.

To use a variety of analytical skills including data manipulation, data interpretation and data visualisation and appropriate methods of statistical analysis.

To proactively promote the use of information and data quality
