Hand Therapist to suit OT or Physiotherapist - Band 5

Job summary

We are looking for a flexible, dynamic and effective Hand Therapist to assist with coordinating and managing a varied Hand Therapy case-load for Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust within the Stroud locality. The post holder will work within an established and friendly team of out-patient MSK therapists, in addition to a wider team of experienced Hand Therapists who offer a high-quality specialist Hand Therapy service across Gloucestershire.

We are looking for a team member to work as an autonomous practitioner managing a varied case-load, including long-term conditions, acquired hand conditions and with training, trauma and post-operative conditions, ensuring the highest of patient care at all time. Depending on previous experience, newly qualified clinicians who can work towards competencies with the support of senior staff will be considered. Full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in departmental and county wide Hand Therapy training. The post-holder may also be required to offer satellite Hand Therapy clinics within other localities depending on capacity and demand on the service. Travelto other localities with the Trust is expected for training, supervision and support.

Mentorship, supervision, training and Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged and supported with opportunity to widen knowledge and enhance skills.
