Job summary
The Surrey Heartlands and Frimley Endoscopy Network (SHaFEN) Clinical Lead(s) will provide leadership across the network, collaborating with multi-disciplinary professionals, to direct the strategic and operational development of coherent and effective network arrangements. Achieving outcome ambitions for patients and benefit to population health will underpin the delivery of a programme of work that addresses national and local priorities. This role covers the following areas:
ERCP
Upper GI,
Lower GI,
Surveillance and screening,
The SHaFEN Clinical Lead(s) and the wider SHaFEN will also work closely with the wide stakeholder group to support the development and implementation of the Surrey Heartlands endoscopy capital programme.
Main duties of the job
- The post-holder(s) will provide professional and clinical leadership across the network, acting as a source of expertise, advice and knowledge for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- The post-holder(s) will lead on clinical governance, ensuring a comprehensive approach across the network including quality improvement, regular reviews of practice and outcomes and adherence to local and national advice, guidelines, recommendations, audits, and standards.
- The post-holder(s) will work with the network's lead multi-disciplinary professionals to maximise operational effectiveness and consistency, ensure equitable access to services, improve the quality of care, and manage patient flows across the network.
- The post-holder(s) will promote and support provider partnership working for patient benefit throughout the network, facilitating the resolution of differing views and approaches as required. This may be challenging at times because of the need to work across many organisations and a wide geography as well as many differing stakeholders.
- The post-holder(s) will work closely with relevant local stakeholders on the development and delivery of the network's annual objectives and milestones, with regular reporting. This will include ensuring alignment to national priorities and local commissioning intentions.
- The post-holder(s) will report to system governance meetings as required.
- The post-holder(s) will represent the network with external stakeholders and others.
