Job summary
The General Surgery Department at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SaSH) is seeking a motivated and committed individual to join our healthcare team, delivering a high-quality, compassionate service to patients.
The post holder will work within a highly demanding and fast-paced division, providing essential administrative support to the department. The role plays a key part in maintaining effective communication between clinicians, support staff and patients, ensuring that patient pathways are managed efficiently and that care is delivered within clinically appropriate timeframes.
The successful candidate will have experience working with computerised data systems and demonstrate the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. They will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, alongside a polite and courteous manner. A proven ability to use initiative and prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines is essential. Experience in pathway management would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, together with excellent interpersonal abilities, are vital, as the role involves managing complex patient pathways and liaising with a wide range of staff groups.
