Job summary
We are delighted to invite applications for aBand 5 Support Worker to join our Front Door Therapies Team, supporting the ongoing expansion of Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at East Surrey Hospital.
This is a dynamic, patient-facing role at the heart of admission avoidance, working across the Front Door pathway including SDEC, Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit and Surgical Assessment Unit. You will play a key role in delivering timely assessment, treatment and discharge planning to help patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced therapy or healthcare support worker, ready to work at Band 5 level
- Has strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, front-line environment
- Is confident working independently while valuing teamwork
- Is passionate about high-quality patient care and admission avoidance
- Is motivated to contribute to service development as the department continues to expand
Experience in Front Door, SDEC, ED, AMU or acute services would be advantageous but is not essential.
