Job summary

The purpose of this role is to deliver excellent acute medical healthcare as part of our enhanced service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, as a 12 month Maternity Leave cover.

The post- holder will take joint responsibility, with medical colleagues, for a Haematology caseload (depending on experience), but clinical flexibility will be required to provide support to all sites depending on clinical priorities.

The postholder will work alongside the Haematology team, both medical and nursing colleagues to deliver high quality care to both in-patients and out-patients under their care. This will include patients on our Haematology ward as well as patients in the various clinics.

The successful appointee will be based at East Surrey Hospital, but work at East Surrey Hospital or Crawley and will provide support to their junior colleagues as well as senior input to the care of acute admissions and inpatients.
