Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Inpatient Physiotherapy team at East Surrey Hospital as a Physiotherapy Assistant.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual to work in this full time role within our inpatient Physiotherapy teams on our inpatient wards.

Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work efficiently and responsibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

This post involves clinical work, assisting Physiotherapists on the wards in the rehabilitation and management of patients along with issuing walking aids, non-clinical housekeeping duties and stock management. Our Physiotherapy Assistants rotate every six months between the different ward areas:

  • Care of the Elderly
  • Acute medicine
  • Orthopaedics
  • Neurology

East Surrey Hospital Physiotherapy Department is a friendly, forward-thinking and innovative department with a well-established in-service training programme and a focus on developing staff; by providing clinical support from experienced staff, support to continue professional and personal development.
