Job summary

To support and assist in the delivery of services within the cross site Cardiac Investigations department. This includes the preparation of patients during cardiac Ultrasound and other diagnostic areas within cardiology and to act as a chaperone when required.

To aid and assist the Cardiac Physiologists, Echocardiographers / Sonographers during interventional radiology and ultrasound examinations and any other areas within the Cardiac Investigations Department.

Ensuring the highest possible standards of care is received by patients and their carers whilst in the department. Ensuring patients / client's privacy and dignity needs are maintained. Able to perform manual handling tasks, including assisting with patient transfers and moving of patients on beds, trolleys and in wheelchairs across hospital site with outpatient and inpatient areas.
